Gold Coin Prices May Decline Wed., July 18

gold coin prices

The U.S. Mint’s collection of gold coin prices can change weekly based on the trending value of gold as compared against its 2018 pricing matrix.

Current coin prices are based on an average of gold that is within $1,250 to $1,299.99 an ounce. The precious metal has stumbled to a one-year low and is now trading near $1,228 an ounce.

On Wednesday, July 18, the United States Mint’s gold coin prices may drop on one and one-half dozen numismatic gold products.

If Wednesday’s LBMA gold price for the PM is under $1,250 an ounce, then prices of U.S. numismatic gold coins will drop by as much as $50 for every ounce of the precious metal they contain.

This table summarizes the U.S. Mint’s current and possible gold coin pricing.
