Virginia Beach, VA — October 2025 — Two of the world’s foremost coin grading experts, Devin Hipp and Keith Moon, have joined forces to launch Numismatic Rarities Exchange (NREX), a groundbreaking venture set to elevate standards in the numismatic industry through scholarly research and education, ethical leadership in commerce, and innovative deployment of technology. Hipp and Moon are joined by the owners of DLRC (formerly David Lawrence Rare Coins), John Brush and Dell Loy Hansen, in partnership for this venture in establishing this new company as an affiliate of DLRC.
With decades of combined experience, Hipp and Moon bring unrivaled expertise to collectors and dealers alike. Both were recognized by COINage magazine in 2024 as among the “World’s Greatest Coin Graders,” and together they have co-instructed Advanced Coin Grading seminars for the American Numismatic Association and Witter Coin U since 2023. Through NREX, Hipp and Moon will continue to invest in education and mentorship through these grading courses, in addition to podcasts and other content platforms designed to engage both veteran collectors and new enthusiasts.
Devin Hipp began his numismatic journey as a childhood collector and has since made the pursuit into an illustrious professional career with over 25 years of experience, becoming a trusted industry name in wholesale trading as well as grading, high-end coin collection building, variety attribution, and numismatic education. He is a graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology and most recently served as Vice President of international auction house Stack’s Bowers Galleries from July 2022 through June 2025.
Keith Moon entered the hobby over three decades ago as a collector and has built a highly esteemed career with top grading services including PCGS, NGC, and ANACS. Since 2006, Moon has professionally graded nearly 7 million coins with an insured value exceeding $10 billion and is widely respected for his leadership in authentication and numismatic education. Keith is one of the lead instructors for the American Numismatic Association’s traveling seminars teaching Coin Grading and Counterfeit Detection, and he was awarded the Glenn Smedley Memorial Award in August 2025 for his contributions in education and outreach.
Kyle Honoré joins Hipp and Moon as Director of Operations at NREX bringing with him over seven years of experience in numismatic and operational roles to the company. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Honoré’s deep knowledge of workflow optimization, process development, and operational strategy will guarantee the highest level of industry service and professionalism for NREX that he has become synonymous with by his industry peers while laying a strong foundation for innovation and future growth.
