Ultrabreaks, a company specializing in gamified coin collecting, announced Tuesday a partnership with Numismatic Guaranty Company to launch “Carson City Chase,” the first NGC-certified break packs in its lineup.
The limited-edition release, set for Oct. 17, combines Ultrabreaks’ pack-ripping format — inspired by trading cards — with NGC’s professional grading and authentication. Only 2,111 packs will be available exclusively online at UltraBreaks.com, with officials expecting them to sell out quickly amid high demand from collectors.
Each pack contains coins tied to the historic Carson City Mint in Nevada, including modern reproductions, vintage pieces and gold coins. All items are graded by NGC, the world’s largest third-party coin certification service, and carry one of Ultrabreaks’ exclusive labels denoting rarity:
- Ultra: Standard label for certified packs.
- Ultra Gold Rush: In 1 of every 10 packs.
- Ultra Infinity: In 1 of every 100 packs.
- Ultra Nitro: Debuting as the rarest, in 1 of every 500 packs.
The top prize is a single 1879-CC Morgan Dollar graded MS65 by NGC and featuring the new Nitro label, described by company executives as the biggest chase coin in Ultrabreaks’ history.
Other highlights include ten Carson City Liberty Head Double Eagles — nine in circulated grades and one in brilliant uncirculated condition — and 100 original 1878 Carson City Morgans in Mint State. The packs also feature the full set of dates from the 2023 Fiji Carson City Morgan series, all graded a perfect MS70 by NGC.

NGC, founded in 1987 and part of Certified Collectibles Group, has graded more than 60 million coins worldwide. Max Spiegel, CCG president, said the collaboration aims to attract new enthusiasts to numismatics.
