The United States Mint has announced the next six DC Super Heroes who will be featured in its Comic Art Coin and Medal Program, revealing the lineups for the 2026 and 2027 releases. The announcement, made on August 20, 2025, builds on the initiative that began this year with Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
The program continues its celebration of comic art—a uniquely American form of storytelling—by honoring iconic figures who embody core values and inspire generations. For the next two years, the series will feature a new trio of heroes each year.
2026: Heroes of Action and Willpower
Scheduled for release in 2026, the series will showcase three distinctive heroes, each representing their special abilities and roles within the DC Universe:
- Supergirl: A beacon of courage and elegance in battle.
- Robin: Bold, devoted, and a skilled companion in action.
- Green Lantern: A symbol of integrity and unyielding determination.
2027: A Trio of Speed, Strategy, and Valor
The program will continue in 2027 with another trio of legendary figures, each adding their unique flair to the collection:
- The Flash: Pioneering with boundless positivity and unmatched speed.
- Batgirl: Strategic, inventive, and perpetually anticipating the next play.
- Aquaman: Bold, noble, and a true king of courage beneath the waves.
The Mint is collaborating with DC to produce these collectibles, bridging the world of classic numismatics with the vibrant realm of comic enthusiasts. All six new designs will be offered in multiple formats to appeal to a wide range of collectors, including 1/2-ounce 24K gold coins, 2.5-ounce .999 fine silver medals, 1-ounce .999 fine silver medals, and clad medals.
