Stack’s Bowers Galleries has announced its acquisition of the Long Beach Expo – The Collectibles Show from Collectors Universe, Inc., securing the future of one of America’s most enduring and respected numismatic events. For more than six decades, the Long Beach Expo has been a cornerstone of the hobby, offering an essential West Coast venue for collectors and dealers to gather for buying, selling, education, and fellowship.

“Our mission is to ensure that this historic venue remains a vibrant hub for collectors and dealers,” said Brian Kendrella, President of Stack’s Bowers Galleries. “We are proud to support a show that has played such an important role in numismatics, and we look forward to strengthening its future, beginning with our first Expo in February 2026.”

The inaugural event under Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ ownership will take the form of a smaller, more intimate invitational edition at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center, Hall C. The show will open to the public from February 18–20, 2026, with dealer setup scheduled for Tuesday, February 17.

As a Platinum Sponsor of the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG), Stack’s Bowers Galleries will extend special benefits to PNG members during this reintroduction phase, including discounted table fees, priority table selection, and additional incentives. PCGS will continue its longstanding connection with the show as a major supporter and the official grading service, offering free admission to PCGS Collectors Club members.

“PCGS is thrilled to support the return of the Long Beach Expo to Southern California,” said Stephanie Sabin, President of PCGS. “The show has been a West Coast tradition for more than 60 years, and PCGS has had a presence there since our founding in 1986. As the Expo enters a new era, we are excited to continue our role in one of the most important events on the numismatic calendar.”

Industry veteran Kerry Pieropan—owner of Riverside Coin and Bullion and director of Pacific Expos, which manages the Buena Park and Anaheim coin shows—will serve as a special consultant in guiding the event’s next chapter.

Dealers and collectors interested in securing a table at the upcoming Expo may contact the show management team, led by David Talk, by emailing info@LongBeachExpo.com or calling 562-250-3300.
