Hyderabad Mint Opens Bookings for NMPA Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has opened the bookings for the ₹50 commemorative coin issued to mark the Golden Jubilee of New Mangalore Port Authority. The bookings are open from October 16, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability.

Earlier, on October 15, 2025, the Hon’ble Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, released the commemorative coin and postal stamp at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The ₹50 coin is currently issued in the Proof Set and UNC Set packaged with a Folder or Blister pack. Additionally, it is also offered in a Proof Set with an MDF box packaging option.

The ₹50 coin in the Proof Set is priced at ₹5,420, while the UNC Set is priced at ₹5,310, both offered in folder or blister packaging.  The Proof Set with an MDF box is priced at ₹5,930.

Often referred to as the Maritime Gateway of Karnataka, the New Mangalore Port has played a pivotal role in India’s maritime trade and coastal development over the past five decades. This coin serves as a collectible piece for numismatists and maritime enthusiasts alike, celebrating the port’s remarkable journey of growth and service.
