The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has opened the bookings for the ₹150 commemorative coin issued to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The bookings are open from October 30, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability.
Earlier in the evening, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled a commemorative coin and a postal stamp to mark the event at Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, ahead of the nationwide observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on October 31, 2025.
The ₹150 commemorative coin is available in both Proof and UNC sets, presented in a Folder/Blister pack. Additionally, it is also offered in a Proof Set with an MDF box packaging option.
The Proof Set is priced at ₹9,879, and the UNC Set at ₹9,718, both offered in folder/blister packaging. The Proof Set with an MDF box is priced at ₹10,487.
The coin’s pricing reflects its premium specifications—it is struck in 99.9% pure silver, weighs 40 grams, measures 44 mm in diameter, and features 200 serrations along the edge. This commemorative release also marks the 26th pure silver coin issued in the history of Republic India coinage.
These coin sets can be purchased either at the mint premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint, with updates available in the current and upcoming bookings section.
