Double die obverse is a term in numismatics used to refer to doubling in the design elements of a coin.

Doubled dies can appear as an outline of the design or in extreme cases, having legends and dates appear twice in an overlapping fashion.

    Hi ! Found 1911wheat penny with and redish slanted net type imprint on reverse side almost covering the entire penny. Any information on this available ? Plus I have a Indian/Buffalo One Ounce Troy 999 find silver. Need information on them. Thank you.

    I have a 2004 nickle that appears to have a cresent moon shaped copper cladding on the face and on the rim of the coin and the reverse side is about 95% copper colored. Any information would be appreciated.
