I have 50 pounds of pennies. I have been saving them for 20 years. I sort them in jars by dates. 1959 to 1970 in one glass jar, 1971 to 1982 in another bigger jar and a yard tall soda bottle bank from 1983 to present. Anything older than 1959 is in safe keeping, dates ranging from 1921 and skip 22. to three of the late 30’s, all of the forties in multitudes and all of the 1950’s also in multitudes. The question I have is not being sure about the four 1955’s I have in my collection. It is hard to determine the doubling one and one 55 is crisp for circulation. Shiny copper at first glance. What would be the value of such a coin with really good MS quality that came out of circulation?
